Overview

Half Screen is an arcade game. It does not require an account and does not sell personal information. Game progress, settings, missions and earned rewards are stored on your device.

iCloud

If iCloud is on for Half Screen, your purchases, Prism balance, Feats and pass rewards are also kept in your private iCloud key-value storage, so a reinstall or a second device keeps them. Apple stores this data; we cannot see it.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple. We never receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. If you have turned on usage analytics, we record which product was bought, its price and currency, and whether it was a new purchase, to measure revenue. Restored purchases are not counted as sales.

Optional rewarded ads

Half Screen may offer optional Google AdMob rewarded ads. An ad only plays after you choose an offer that names its reward, and core play never requires an ad. Google Mobile Ads and its consent platform may process an IP address, coarse location derived from it, device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, and crash, performance or other diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, consent and service operation.

Half Screen also uses Meta App Events for limited app and campaign measurement, such as app activation and completed rewarded ads. No gameplay content is sent. Meta advertiser-ID collection is enabled only after you allow App Tracking Transparency; otherwise event data is limited. Personalized ads or cross-app tracking are used only where you have given the required consent and tracking permission.

Optional usage analytics

Usage analytics is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, Half Screen sends coarse screen visits, mode and run outcomes, rewarded-offer choices, purchase measurement and, when ads are on, ad revenue estimates to Google Analytics for Firebase, so we can see which modes bring players back. Firebase assigns a random app-instance ID. Half Screen does not send your name, account, contacts, precise location, advertising identifier or anything you type, and does not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Turning it off stops sending, deletes locally queued events and resets the Firebase ID. Data already sent is kept by Google for the retention period set for the project, at most 14 months.

App configuration

About once a day, Half Screen downloads its ad-offer settings from Firebase Remote Config, whether or not usage analytics is on. That request includes a random installation ID, the app and iOS version, language and region, but no gameplay data.

Consent and choices

Where required, Half Screen shows Google’s consent form before requesting ads. Ad Privacy Choices appears in Settings whenever Google requires a persistent privacy-options entry point. Tracking permission can be changed in the iOS Settings app. Refusing consent or tracking does not block the games. Usage analytics is a separate Settings option and can be turned off at any time.

Notifications

Mission and Rover reminders are optional local notifications, scheduled on your device after you grant permission. Half Screen does not run a remote notification server.

Retention and deletion

Local game data stays until the app is deleted or its storage is cleared; iCloud data stays in your iCloud account until you remove it in iOS Settings. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months. Consent records and advertising data are kept according to Google’s and Meta’s policies and applicable law. You can contact us about privacy requests at any time.

Children

Half Screen is not directed to children and is not in the App Store Kids category. Advertising is configured for teen-or-older content.
